Maxine Kaufman serves as the Director of Community Engagement at the Jewish Federation of Florida's Gulf Coast and oversees the Jewish Community Camp.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Kaufman has been working in the Jewish world for more than 25 years. She has held leadership roles at Jewish day schools, community centers, synagogues and other Jewish Federations.

Upon moving to St. Petersburg in 2016 from the greater Palm Beach area, Kaufman joined the Federation team and has held increasingly greater responsibilities. She has brought with her an abundance of cultural and educational programming initiatives that have proven to enrich Jewish life in Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Kaufman has been responsible for bringing such important initiatives as Yesod (Jewish Leadership Program); Kesher: The Connection (multi-generational education days) and the Jewish Community Camp to our community.
